Sean P. McCormack

Sean P. McCormack was born in Orlando, Florida, in 1980. In 1998 he graduated Oviedo High School. He went on to attend Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where he graduated cum laude in 2002, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. In 2005 Mr. Machlus received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Barry University School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.

Mr. McCormack focuses his practice on representing the needs and legal interest of injured workers and their families in Workers’ Compensation cases. His areas of practice include personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, wrongful termination, Social Security Disability, and contract and business litigation.

Mr. McCormack also serves as a Guardian ad Litem for dependency cases. A Guardian ad Litem is a volunteer who is appointed by the court to independently represent the interests of a child, rather than the parents or the state.

Mr. McCormack began practicing law representing injured workers and practicing Social Security Disability and personal injury. The majority of his clients were firefighters and law enforcement officers with cardiac claims. He went on to represent employers and insurance carriers, primarily representing employee leasing companies. Now Mr. McCormack is back to representing injured workers and their families.

While at FAU, Mr. McCormack swan four years Division One athletics. His passion for swimming and athletic competition continues. Today he enjoys competing in triathlons, open water swimming competitions and running races. He is a member of Masters of Orlando swim team, the downtown Orlando Running Club, and the downtown Orlando YMCA. Mr. McCormack has swum competitions in the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Aegean Sea of Greece.
